[Brigham Young Journal] this morning went on to the parade ground and saw the men start who had been drafted to fill the sherifs order attended council at brother Taylors in the afternoon brother Empy came in with his team bringing two brethen who had been wounded in the camp through carelesness- I learned that brother Tippin who was wounded yesterday on parade died last night The mob seems to be quieter and the leaders have fled. I pray the Lord to hold them off until we finish the Temple Sept 20. [1845]
